Dokumat 500 is an autonomous documentary robot. The device was built as an artwork by Niklas Roy. Subject: Entertaining art project
A cute little film that explains a cool-geeky art project: A robotic tripod-videocamera contraption that records autonomously. The film shows the Dokumat as it is taken to Alexanderplatz in Berlin to show its stuff.

My only major complaint is that the resulting documentary at the end of the film is a let down. While the Dokumat seems to be able to avoid obstacles and not fall down stairs, it makes seemingly random edits and ultimately not so interesting. Perhaps the version 2 of the Dokumat will get a better interview technique?

Deutsch Audio with english subtitles.
