On May 2, 2008 Nohshintoh gave permission for the LMA:
"Hello, I am the official archivist for a Japanese band called
Nohshintoh. We are interested in setting up an LMA section for the
band. At the moment we aren't aware of anyone but ourselves taping the
shows. It is difficult to forsee what kind of policy we may need, but
if it is possible to make changes as needed that may be best.
Naturally we want people getting the best recording possible, but flac
is still relatively unknown compared to mp3.
We have mp3s available on our website
http://busaichedelic.org/nohshintoh but would prefer if the use of
flac were expanded.
Naturally bandwidth is an issue in this choice.
We are also interested in streaming options, but are not sure how this
will work.
It is also important to allow people to download a full show in a batch
I think I'm jumping the gun a bit here, :-)
first I need to find out from you what kind of steps we need to take
to confirm our interest in the project and how to proceed.
We have put shows up on DIME and The Trader's Den using the 'NST' or
'nst' designation as these three letters signify the three Chinese
characters (used in Japan) that make up the original name of the band.
I sincerely hope that this designation is still available.
Anyway, like I said, I think I'm getting way ahead of myself here. :-)
I'll be waiting for a reply of some kind. Thank you.
