St. Gregory of NyssaThe Life of St. Macrina (September 1, 2009)

A short biography of St. Macrina by her brother, St. Gregory of Nyssa. She was born about AD 330, and died in 379. Hugely intelligent, wise, and holy even by the standards of a family full of saints and theologians, St. Macrina the Younger is a fascinating figure.

Readers may wish to pause after part 2 of this biography and go listen to "On the Soul and the Resurrection", a deathbed dialogue written down by St. Gregory of Nyssa to record his sister's teachings.
