Ode to Gravity: Peter Michael Hamel (December 1973)

Peter Michael Hamel is a young German composer working outside the realm of traditional Central European avant-garde music. His Dharana, for solo group, orchestra and tape, was played at the 1973 Donaueschingen Music Festival in performance recorded here under the direction of Ernest Bour. Also, some selections from his solo album of electronic meditation music and a personal visit with the composer, recorded in Donaueschingen.
