Ryan Kawailani OzawaObachan (2005)

The funeral of my grandmother, Hanako Mori Ozawa, held July 19, 2005 at Waipahu Soto Zen Taiyoji. She came to Hawaii from Japan to join her husband, they built up the Buddhist and Japanese language school community in the islands, and survived internment by the U.S. government during World War II. She raised six kids, including my dad. See my podcast from July 22 for my reading of her eulogy:
