MERLOT's strategies for aggregating, reviewing, and disseminating reusable online learning resources for learners around the world will be presented. MERLOT's growth in digital library and online community services to over 30,000 users per month while remaining free and open to end-users will be reviewed. Special emphasis will be placed on how MERLOT's design principles reduce barriers for individuals participating in its community services and increase the value for community participation in delivering personalized services. "Finally, MERLOT "slipstreaming strategy" for developing and managing a diverse set of partnerships across corporations, professional societies, and educational institutions will be reviewed.
