Much was expected of cord board operators. Remember, they're handling multiple calls at one time, watching their indicators for call completions, while starting new calls.

Subject: Watch for the flash!
A Pretty strange and puzzling bit made for operators about what kind of light signals to look for when putting calls through. it seems there are 3 different versions of a flashing light to watch out for, Busy, Board busy, not in service. Just looks like too much of a headache for my technologically advanced head. I have to lie down now.
