Subject: A touch of Alaska
Welcome to Alaska, a very special place. I have not been there in several decades but I was flooded with memories when I first watched this video. Alaska is a warm beautiful place much of the year. I have traveled all across the United States many times and have seen many splendid things, but Alaska is hard to beat. For anyone thinking of a vacation trip to Alaska, this is a great taste of what to expect all over Alaska. If you are going to be in the Anchorage/Girdwood area I would say this is a must see video. Nice people made my memories of Alaska special to me. Girdwood looks like a really great place. This video is also a great timecapsule of American life.

Olympic snowboarder Rosy Fletcher happily lent us some of her enthusiasm and appears in several segments, as well. We hope to have these two personalities back for future installments of Out&About Girdwood.
