"The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet" 1956 Christmas episode
1956 episode of "The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet", the 2nd longest running American sitcom of all time. This is a Christmas-themed episode. "Ozzie and Harriet" never reached the top 10 in the ratings, But steading ratings made sure that it out-lived many more better-known shows, and it's gentle corny humor made it popular with kids. Overall it's a classic show that has aged well.
NOTE: This copy is a mid-60's re-run print, and features different commercials to the original broadcast.

So glad I found this. My dad, Bob Shepard, is one of the carolers (3rd from the right in the black hat and chewing gum). He did a lot of studio work in the late 50's and early 60's.
Loved Ozzie and Harriet reruns when I was growing up. Ricky was so cute and had such a beautiful voice. Great, wholesome show.

after McCarthy was debunked in 1955, You had some good comedy and also some serious tv plays that would question society. but the cold war started hotting up in 1960. Does toy boy ricky sing an x mas song at the end, lol.

It's a good family show, and many of the jokes still hold up well today. In this episode, Ozzie gets overwhelmed with and drafted into various Christmas-related activities - something to which many of us can relate. The vintage commercials for natural gas are a nice bonus.

Hi, I'm Yugi Moto, and although I'm not a christian, I enjoyed this classic TV broadcast. It's a little odd to see 50's TV with commercials used for 60's repeats, But it's still worth watching.

I used to watch this show every Sunday night on ABC. If you could watch out for more these treasures of the Nelsons if would be appreciated.
I understand after OZZie's death, the family bought out the copyright of every show, making it
darn near impossible to locate or know what year the shows were aired orginally. 4 stars for nostalia and 5 stars for its gentle humor.
