Subject: Charlie Likes Fish, Pass It On...
I downloaded this on a whim and was thoroughly entertained. The director of the fish commission, C. A. French, or as he urges us too call him, "Charlie", tells us about how many things the Pennsylvania Fish Commission has done and how important they are! "Charlie" pauses often, and seems to trip over his words several times. He stresses the importance of the commission, and this quote sums it up:
"Last year our specially designed trucks transported two and a half million trout to streams and lakes all over the state, sometimes on dirt roads and often in bad weather."
Now he didn't need to put the "bad weather" part in, but he did! That's a man who loves his fish!

Subject: New Euphanism: "Squeezing Your Fish"
Although the film somewhat dries out (excuse the expression) after it's first 5 minutes, the movie is worth the download for those 5 minutes alone. After some very cheap title cards (honestly, I should do a movie featuring nothing but bad title cards) we're introduced to C.A. French, a man who emulates Charles Putnam in the speak in front a map and nothing else department, and welcomes us Penn Fishermen to the movie! He congratulates the job we are doing, and invites us to view how we got the fishes in them rivers in the first place. His job done, the music swells, and French gets up to leave, when the film FINALLY edits out (very very funny edit, probably the worst I've seen). We're then taken to the fertilization process. Once again, the film reaches dizzying new heights of "What the hey?" when we see men squeezing the eggs out of the females and ummm, squeezing the "milk" (as the narrator states) from the male. Watch them mix them up with a fish's tail! Soon after, the eggs are fertilizing and a lab technician, surely using a highly technical process, separates the eggs with a feather! VERY strange. From there, it somewhat dives into tech talk, until the very end, where a great never ending dump the fish into the river & watch us fish em out orgy going on. The men do most of the fishing, while the women just stand around. There are a few glimpses of one woman fishing, but that's the exception. I gotta give it 4 stars just for the amazing beginning, but it goes somewhat downstream from there..
Lots of shots of trout farm pools, people holding dead fish aloft, people dumping buckets and nets full of fish into lakes, and an amazing forced-fertilization-of-trout sequence ("trout-squeezing").
