This video is the result of my experiments on new ways to coalesce images and videos. Through the dynamic superposition is possible to give to a still photograph a character of movement and evolution. Furthermore the interfusion of different images enlivens something similar to free association processes that create thoughts and stories in the mind of the viewer.
Technical notes:
The effects are implemented using only self developed programs. The images are randomly taken from a set of photos previously chosen and then mixed using non-linear time-dependent functions. The programs automatically generate several segments of animation. Some of these are then chosen "by hand" and mounted in the final sequence.
The encoding of the frames is made using mplayer/mencoder (www.mplayerhq.hu).
Music note:
The musical comment is from the Ambient Collective "Light" compilation. (http://www.archive.org/details/amb_col_light)

a perfect capture
This video is beautiful! I've never imagined this kind of animated photography, and you have processed it so skillfully.
I am very happy to see that you have chosen my music for this - I've always believed that ambient music belongs with images, and I would be honoured if you were to use more of my music in future projects.
