I saw this series (not necessarily this particular program) when it was first telecast. It holds up very well. A tremendous advancement from the detectives shows of the early and mid 1950's. Craig Stevens was awesome in this role and Lola Albright was terrific. A great supporting cast. The music was great!

Subject: Great series.
I got the DVD of this series from my local library. I think there's three on YouTube as well. In all these years I had never seen a Peter Gun episode until 2010. I didn't know what I was missing. Great jazz-inspired soundtracks, cool Peter Gunn and the fabulous Lola Albright. Sadly, she cut her hair in the second season. ;-( The whole series was shot on a studio lot, but it really doesn't take away from the show. And it's nice that they didnt' follow the Hollywood standard and make the cop an idiot.

Born in 1962 I first heard of Peter Gunn on the Flinstones. The walk was soooo smooooth and of course he was handsome. I will always remember him saying "I am too pretty to die".
I really enjoyed the show and story. Craig Stevens is very sexy, he just 'sends me'. The way he walks and talks 'is just to die for'.
Thank you Mr/Ms uploader for giving us this GEM, excellent Show. I wish there were more. This is a must see. Way better than the shows today!!
Not sure if I mentioned this, Craig Stevens is so.....!!
Just saying......

All the reviewers have the right idea but unfortunately the wrong motive. All the Peter Gunn are still under except two The Fuse and Let's kill Timothy. Yhese sadly are the only ones that copyright was not renewed and fell into Public Domain. :=(

The music of Henry Mancini and the direction of Blake Edwards put Craig Stevens over big time with audiences. Lola Albright was beautiful and so alluring. In only 25 minutes there was more going on here that in today's 50 minutes of rehashed plots.

Subject: Finally!
Subject: Finally!
After all my life hearing about this show and hearing it's iconic theme, I finally got to see an episode. It was everything good that I had heard. Peter Gunn is one suave detective, that's for sure! And the jazz soundtrack is so effective in setting the mood. The only complaint I had about this episode, and it's minor, let me assure you, was that it was only a half hour long instead of an hour. After being so used to hour-long detective shows from the 1970's, a half-hour seemed just too brief. But, it kept me engrossed for the full 30 minutes! (25 minutes, plus.) I see that there's one more episode here on the IA, so I'm getting it and going to watch it next. Maybe some more episodes are public domain and can be uploaded, here's hoping!
One thing I'm very glad of - in shows like these, the themes are often usually changed because of copyright issues. But, now Peter Gunn. This is the original theme, the one you know and love. I've even played it in some bands I've been in! Thanks to the original uploader on this!
