The more of thase shows I listen too the more I dig Jackie, of course he is Dylan jr, but a little different and for the most part seems a good fit for the 1st set "songs" type of set. It's only until the 2nd that I am hearing the big jams come out, real musicaniship being explored and they sound powerful and alive, there is some inspiration for sure... Where 's that Shakedown is that being shelved for the tour\??
Happy to see Cryptical>Other One and Dark Stars are out there!!

I am a taper so I appreciate seeing these shows on the net for download......I taped the Santa Barbara and Greek shows. There were a few neg - comments about the music, the musicians Jackie Greene on the net.....but I will say it again Jackie is the real deal as I have seen him numerious times over the past 4-5 years. He has energy and style. As far a the music goes I say once again be grateful and appreciate that Pill continues to spread the misic. It's not about the dead of the past it's about keeping the music alive and well for the future.....I did not see anyone having a bad time in SB or the Greek even though some of the comments were negitive.....THANKS FOR THE POSITIVE COMMENTS AND THE MUSIC.....Keep on truckin on

Like you said, Dave! I, too was at this show and I've only felt that way at a Grateful Dead show *or* a Phil show! As many of us already know, Phil is Da Man and he rarely lets us down. This show is no exception - from the opener to the Petty cover to the old classics like Cold R&S to the new stuff to Cumberland (which was totally blew us away)to *hello* Eyes! and Sugaree to Help-Slip-Frank. Hey, its not all the great ones, but that's why you get this show AND the previous Red Rocks shows!

Ahhhhhhhhh ... the memories are still too fresh for anything like critical objectivity ... an amazing intimate show, like seeing the Dead in a bar without the booze fumes!
This was the last show of a 3-day run/ mini road-trip that was the best vacation in EONS and included my first Red Rocks show ... at 51 it's about TIME I guess! I was consistently thrilled and impressed by all the musicians but Jackie Green is a huge stand-out, what a born talent! Please, someone kick the bejezus out of anyone trying to "hook up" this young man with the dark side of our little circus; stay clean, live long, amaze many Jackie!
Thanks to Steve for posting and boundless gratitude to Phil and crew for making the music !!! Whooo-HOOOOOO !!!
