Popeye and Bluto are again competing against one another. Only this time, it's not for Olive Oyl's love, but for the privilege of being able to wash her windows.

Wow!
That's a lot of enthusiasm over dirty windows! I've been in a lot of fights n my life, but never over a bunch of dirty windows. LOL
I love the half tone art work.. That's quickly becoming a lost art itself. Time was half tone art was standard training for all artists in college. I wonder if it still is. It became my own specialty right before computers took over the whole thing.. A little black ink and a lot of water and a brush.

Another great oldie
I just love these old Popeye cartoons. So different from the Popeye I remember as a kid and yet the same too, it just seems a whole lot more creative in the old ones like this.
Just a warning - The MPEG1 version, I downloaded twice to make sure, it is corrupt all through the encode. It keeps freezing on certain frames and eventually misses out loads of consecutive frames for a minute or two in the middle of the movie.
Download the MPEG2 or one of the lighter ones ;)

A very athletic cartoon
Bluto and Popeye are competing to wash Olive's windows near the top of a skyscraper. The things get pretty wild as they start trying to outdo each other. By the time the fighting breaks out they are swinging up and down the tall buildings and the rooftops. Olive supplies her usual athleticism in rescuing Popeye part way through the cartoon. Lots of acrobatics. Charles Blondin had nothing on these guys.
