I do not know if personal notes are permitted in these reviews, but....

The author of this book, James M. Reilly, was my grandfather. He and his wife, my grandmother, Gertrude Ufert Reilly, were both Socialist Labor Party politicians who ran for a variety of offices in New Jersey in the first years of the twentieth century. He was born in New Jersey and Gertrude was born in Germany. He died in the late 1950's in New Jersey (I am sorry I do not have the year, but I remember where we were residing when he died). She died many years before him, some time in the 1920's.
