Subject: Beautiful Recording!
The sound on this recording is as crisp and clear as it gets. Without a doubt one of the better recordings from the Variety that I have heard.

RRE never fails to deliver.

great show, fine clear recording. Thanks so much for recording and sharing this!

Notes

Location: ~35 feet from center stage @ ~9.5'

Comments:

Some occasional banter about the heat. The AC was not working well, and it was definitely uncomfortable just in the room. Kudos to the band, it must have been blistering under the stage lights.

An outstanding show. RRE is one of those rare bands that every time I see them impress me more and more how they are genuinely tapping into the sort of musical interplay, fusion of styles, and creative synergy that I just have not felt strongly much since the Dead in their better days. Go see a show, a recording just cannot capture the complexity of how good these shows really are.

Thanks to the Variety Playhouse for continuing to be one of the premier East Coast venues When it comes to the staff's frendly attitude and freedom extended to tapers at shows where artists allow open taping.

Thanks Ira.

Enjoy! RobertNC
