-Carl Davidson is a widely known writer and political activist. He is active in the Solidarity Economy Movement and is national co-chair of the Committees of Correspondence for Democracy and Socialism (CCDS), and is webmaster of Progressives for Obama. Carl was a leader of the 60s New Left, a national officer of SDS, and editor of the Guardian. We discuss the World Social Forum movement and the recent U.S. Social Forum in Detroit, a significant and lively event that brought together 15,000 activists for peace and social justice from around the country.
