Houston 60s counterculture and alternative media with Sherwood Bishop and Bobby Ray Eakin. Sherwood Bishop was a member of the editorial collective at Houston underground newspaper Space City!. He was also director of the Houston Peace Center and the Houston Committee to End the War in Vietnam, and founder and/or director of a food co-op, a communal farm, a day care center, a “free university,” an alternative library, and a drug crisis center. He now teaches economics at Texas State University. Bobby Ray Eakin worked with Space City!, Houston Switchboard, the Austin Sun, and low power television in Alaska. He was a programmer on Houston's pioneering underground radio stations KPFT-FM (Pacifica) and KLOL-FM, and -- as "Bobby Ray" -- at Austin FM stations KLBJ and KGSR. Host and producer: Thorne Dreyer.
