Scott Pittman is a sustainability activist and permaculture teacher. He was a founder of the Permaculture Institute in Santa Fe, New Mexico, and helped to establish the permaculture movement in the U.S. Southwest. The mission of the Permaculture Institute is to promote sustainable living skills through education, networking, and demonstration projects. Scott's experience includes working with indigenous and traditional people worldwide, designing projects that range from backyards to thousand-acre farms, and activism in promotion of sustainable living. Pittman was also a leader of SDS at the University of Texas in Austin in the 1960's. The show also includes a short interview with Wayne Kramer of the MC5 and the Jail Guitar Doors project.
