It's nice to hear what a President ought to sound like. I couldn't find much in the speeches to disagree with. Having re-read many of his speeches from the '50's and '60's I don't think his speechwriters had much work to do, as many lines he penned himself a decade plus earlier. And he could read those lines and make your heart flutter. The greatest President of my lifetime (and seeing the competition that unfortunately may not be saying much).

You be that next Reagan. Learn his values, his background, his faith and teach this to every person you know. Move on to our Founding Fathers who risked everything to be free. Our long nightmare with socialism can and will end if the American public wish to have a better day. It begins with you. It has been done before.

So Alabama won, A-hole. Just makes you look twice as stupid. This country needs another Ronnie, although I doubt history could repeat itself in regard to him. Sure beats all the broken promises by Nobama, the NO-sseiah.

Subject: Still relevant today
Make the world a better place by moving backward ourselves.... sounds like wealth re-distribution... where have I heard that before?

If it was not for the religious fanatics on the far right, I would have gave another star.

Reagan speaks from the grave about socialized medicine... half a decade ago no less.

Whether you like or hate him, he is timeless.

Subject: A return to excellence
Common sense and faith in God, hope for the future, and humility (not at all virtues espoused by our current administration)is what I miss. Today is a good context for this archival video. Additionaly, when I listen to Mitt Romney, I'm reminded of Ronald Reagan.

Ronald Reagan fans are like Alabama football fans. both living off the dead. America bought that crap he peddled and is regretting it to this day. He created fast food jobs and little else. He created deficit spending to bankrupt the USSR. Juts not one of my favorite presidents.

Thank you so much for sharing this with us. President Reagan was a great man. He also had his flaws, I'm sure. But he never sold us to Socialist, Totalitarian and Fascist few!
