Following in the footsteps of Fluxus artist Milan Knizak and improviser/artist Christian Marclay, REC. presents a collection of simple experiments in cut and reassembled vinyl records. The cover image illustrates the sliced records of each track, in order. Each color corresponds to a single vinyl source. Tracks 3, 9 and 17 are cooked and burnt records.

17 tracks of broken compositions. The needle jumps for fragment to fragment, for a segmental and cyclic listening. Piece of music, scratchs, rehearsals, crackling. Each track is a new composite assembly, playing with different amounts of vinyl. The poetry of this archive is dirty, noisy, frenetic and finds its matter in the supa prod of Babylon (all languages, music, & rhythms) . Finally, the bricolage becomes more precious than the original, the fragment most complete that the all. That shit turns good !

17 pistes de composition cassées. L'aiguille saute, de fragment en fragment, pour une une écoute segmentaire et cyclique. Morceau de musique, rayures, répétitions, craquements. Chaque piste est un nouvel assemblage composite, jouant avec différentes portions de vinyle. La poésie de cette archive est sale, bruyante, frénétique et trouve sa matière dans la super production de Babylone (toutes les langues, musiques, & rythmes).
Finalement, le bricolage devient plus précieux que l'original, le fragment plus complet que le tout. Cette merde tourne rond !
