Subject: Fun stuff
Cool little historical short! Love to see this area back in time like that.
(However, it would be swell if the category could be changed from 'Silicon Valley' to 'Santa Clara Valley'. For many of us that grew up in the area, any mention of the moniker 'Silicon Valley' of a time before the associated industry is cringe inducing.)

Subject: Typical
This silent film was too dark at times. I didn 't find Redwood Estates that spectacular. It was like 100's of other vacation communities during that time. The facilities seemed average.

Subject: Your child will be the laughing stock if he or she didn¡¯t have a dog.
A very fun little travelogue of what you can expect after you move into the (then I¡¯m sure) heavily wooded Redwood estates. This is a very well detailed for it¡¯s time that showcases the people and the activities one can do there (Shuffleboard! Archery!) Make sure your kid has a dog or a cat though, because the film menacingly states that ¡°Every child has a pet¡±. Even if they don¡¯t know how to hold it correctly.
Redwood Estates near Santa Cruz, California: Real estate promotional film showing scenes of downtown Los Gatos, California / car arriving at the "estates" and shots of recreational activities available / homes under construction / long shots of the estates and homes / roads / automobiles and large sign for the "Redwood Estates"
