Credits

On the final night of the 2004 Democratic National Convention, millions of Americans watched the story of John Kerry’s lifetime of service and strength through a documentary film created by award-winning documentary maker James Moll. Advised by Steven Spielberg and narrated by actor Morgan Freeman, the nine minute documentary stars those who know John Kerry best.

The film spans Kerry’s entire life, from his birth at an army hospital in Colorado to his service in Vietnam to his career fighting for the right priorities in the United States Senate. Along the way, it shows family and friends talking about the courage he has shown as a soldier and a veteran, the fights he has waged for middle-class values and the faith in family he has exhibited as a father and husband.

Emmy and Oscar winning filmmaker James Moll was recommended for the project by Steven Spielberg, advisor to the documentary. Moll has spent the last ten years working with Spielberg as a director and producer of documentary films and series.

Among those appearing in “A Remarkable Promise:” Kerry’s wife; daughter; fellow Vietnam veterans Jim Rassman, David Alston and David Thorne; brother Cameron Kerry; and sister Diana Kerry.
