Subject: Second funniest film ever made
This film is simply comedic genius. Second only the all time greatest comedy to ever to be put on celluloid "The Street Fighter". You know when they say that true comedy comes when no one is trying to be funny and everyone is dead serious, well nobody in this film thinks for a moment that they are creating the greatest comedy ever, yet the laughs just keep coming scene after scene. I dare anyone to try to keep a straight face for more than 2 minutes in this film. It's just not possible. From, the ludicrous dialogue, to god awful dubbing, to Chiba's almost god like ability to fly over fences and rip peoples throats out, all the while maintaining his world renowned constipated Bruce Lee expression throughout every scene in the film. This film just rocks the house down with unintentional humor. I've had the privileged of seeing the original Japanese dialogue version, but trust me. Nothing comes close to brilliance of the now infamous American dubbed version of this timeless masterpiece.
If their ever were a comedy hall of fame, this film along with the original Street Fighter needs have it's own section. Kudo's the great American dubbing team who put this together. You just don't get this kinda humor in modern dubbing anymore. A true classic, for anyone looking for a great laugh and some totally politically incorrect martial arts action. Chiba rocks.
