Unstable, gradually evolving organic, volcanic feedback. Hot geyser sprays erupt and fizzle before giving way to a deep earth-moving rumble with an intermittent crackling, as of a fire.
"Reverse Eruption" is a longform generative piece that came about as the result of my experimenting with audio software. I set the starting parameters for a series of delays, oscillators, and other effects, let the system run until it became imperceptibly quiet, and this wrote itself. It's 70 minutes long, with some very faint sound left in at the end that may seem silent, in hopes you might feel it in the air.
Treetrunk likes this piece by Scrap Heap-- it fits right in with the label. Enjoy!
