Tom Tyler Finds Reason to Stop Roamin'
Your average B western in most ways with adequate plot, script and acting - with a few interesting aspects. There is a peddler - evidently a European Jew - with a name like Wineman and and his Yiddish accent - what else? - well, he may not have been Jewish, as that's never stated. And we have a contingent of Chinese miners, played with dignity as opposed to the usual "no tickee, no washee" portrayal. Carol Wyndham, the female lead who captures Tyler's heart, according to IMDb, appeared in 4 films and was credited in this film and one other. IMDb offers a visual "Pictorial Movie Gossip" - by George Krisvoy, in which he writes that "Because she is ranked one of the best feminine horse riders, she was given a leading role in Roamin' Wild." No further info is available. The bad guys include some of the B western regulars: George Chesebro, Al Ferguson, Bud Osborne, and Wally West. Yes, as others have noted, some beautiful scenery here.
