Mysterious murders at a remote inn.
In the last few minutes of the file named
Rogues_Tavern_1936_loses_synch.avi, which is ripped from a DVD, the sound is slightly unsynchronized with the video. The file named
Rogues_Tavern_1936.avi is derived from the 3.8 gigabyte file found
here and seems to have no synch problems.

The bar is closed!
An entertaining mystery in spite of its less than believable plot. Stars Wallace Ford and feisty Barbara Pepper. The couple arrives at a tavern where the overnight guests are dropping like flies, while all Ford and Pepper want is to get married. Then the lights go out, and a murder weapon is presented which you aren't likely to see in any crime museum.
Okay video quality. Good audio, however it goes slightly out of sync during the final ten or fifteen minutes. There are some missing-frame dropouts.
EDIT: The audio sync problem mentioned above has been corrected in the new cinepack file (510.3MB) Also, this file is derived from a print with fewer missing frames.
CAST NOTE: Also featured is B-movie queen Joan Woodbury, though you might not recognize her at first because she weighs more than she would when she appeared in later films like "King of the Zombies" and a "A Yank in Libya." (Both are available here at IA) Although Ms Woodbury usually starred in B-features, she also had supporting roles in a few A-features like "The Ten Commandments." (1956)

Good movie, terrible video file
Though it is possible the video file for this movie located here utilized a better print than the the larger video file offered here on
archive.org. It is clearly inferior especially when viewing on a screen over 20".
Edit
The image quality improves when using GOM player although the larger file on archive seems to have better detail and contrast.
Great film though
