On April 10, 2007, University of Southern California students from the SCALE anti-sweatshop group staged a sit-in at University President Sample's offices, protesting the office's eight-year refusal to meet with organizers to discuss labor conditions in the factories where USC licensed goods are manufactured.
In this clip, a sit-in protestor tells the story of the bathroom arrangements in the president's office during the sit-in. Students had brought in kitty litter in buckets to use to relieve themselves. A security guard tricked this student into leaving the president's office by offering her use of a real bathroom and then locking her out.
