Elliott Santos was a Senior at Whitworth University when he shot the short film Sanctitatis. He used Windows movie maker and a flip camera to shoot his film. This short film explored the themes of spiritual search that he often saw around his campus. He added an age effect to the film as well as a sepia tone to give it a warm and antiqued look and feel. The music and title of the film were inspired by a Future of Forestry song of a similar title which he obtained permission for from the band itself. The text throughout the film was inserted by playing with the titles options in Windows movie maker and interspersing them as he found most effective throughout the short film. The film is dedicated to his mother and father, both who were dedicated spiritual leaders in his life.
