Actually Made In 1942
Andy Clyde's Columbia shorts are rarely seen these days, which is a shame. Copies of non-Stooge Columbia shorts are usually in the hands of private collectors.
Andy excelled at playing old geezers until he actually was one! Besides his work with Columbia, he also worked with Mack Sennett, and on television he was on Hopalong Cassidy, Lassie and The Real McCoys among many others.
Supporting Andy is the great Vernon Dent, who is better known as a foil for the Stooges, but appeared at one time or another in almost every Columbia short series through the mid-fifties.

If you like slap stick, this film is brilliant! If you don't laugh through this film, there is something seriously wrong with you. It's about a guy that everything happens to on his birthday. Things fly, people fly and he even buys a cemetary plot by accident. Could one ask for more?
