Necto [Todd Bartel]Several Big Changes (November 4, 2008)

Inspired by the advent of Barack Obama becoming President Elect on November 4, 2008, I set out to commemorate the occasion with a sound to match what was welling up inside me. As the title suggests, I wanted several changes to evolve throughout the piece and for each shift to slowly build until Barack's words complete the work. It is "change" that our President Elect (for one more day) has said we need. Many people agree! The need for change is visible everywhere in our culture—from "green" thinking, to the evolution of the institution of "Marriage" to the way in which we run capitalism and our “economy,” and how we accept one another to promote social justice. So here is our new beginning; time to go to work.
