Would you like to try our new video/audio player ? (beta!)

Shades of Green Energy hosts John Hoffner and Debrah Dubay discuss a new innovative way to provide downtown transportation for citizens in Austin, Texas. Nicolas Cole, CEO and Paul DeLong, Marketing Director for Car2Go discuss how people in the Austin area can sign up to use a Smart Car anywhere within a designated area in the city. Riders can become members and receive an electronic card that gives them access to a car nearest to their location. Use the car, then leave it anywhere in the area for the next rider. The program has been a pilot in Austin for the last year and has been highly successful. The program may be launched in other cities in the US.
