Rights

On December 12, 2002, we received permission for shows to be hosted at the Archive:

AH Archivist Joel Hudson wrote:
"Just wanted to give you the
go-ahead for the Shell Stamps Band for the archive, a "side project" of Ancient
Harmony. Probably won't see many uploads, as this was essentially Ancient
Harmony performing as a trio without Hal on keys, but I do have one flac from
2002-12-07 to upload. It didn't seem right to refer to it as an Ancient
Harmony performance though. For the purposes of taping policy and approval for
the archives SSB should be considered the same as AH though."

"As far as inclusion in the archive project I can go ahead and give you the official go-ahead from the band's standpoint since the archive is a not-for-profit operation.

Policy
The follow taping policy cut and pasted from:
http://www.ancientharmony.com/tapepolicy.html

Ancient Harmony allows audio recording of their live shows for non-commercial home use only. Any resale or use of live concert tapes for commercial gain without explicit written permission of Ancient Harmony or its agent is strictly prohibited. We request that you adhere to the following guidelines for recording Ancient Harmony performances.

AUDIENCE RECORDING is allowed at all shows. Depending on the particular venue, you may or may not be able to set up your rig in the best spot in the room. Obviously, common sense and courtesy to the other attendees should prevail. If you use a microphone stand, please keep it out of the line of sight between the soundboard and/or lighting control board and the stage. Our technical staff needs to see the stage clearly.

SOUNDBOARD RECORDING is allowed at certain larger venues when available. Face it, there are just some places where the soundboard feed is going to be all drums and vocals because that is all that needs amplifying. Obviously, we want you to have the best representation of what you heard, so, on some occasions, soundboard tape feeds will not be given. When the band is multi-track recording a show for commercial purposes, soundboard tape feeds will not be given.

ANY AUDIO RECORDING MEDIA may be used. Technology is moving way too fast to try to keep up with this issue.

BE PREPARED and use common sense. Bring the necessary adaptors and connectors and cables to get your patch. AC power will often be made available in order to conserve disposable batteries, but tapers should pack a set of batteries in case it is not available.

Photography & Video Taping FLASH PHOTOGRAPHY is not allowed during the performance. Photography by available light is allowed. We suggest that you use a high speed film.

VIDEO TAPING is not allowed.
