I'm actually a rock and roll guy but I love this stuff. There was a copycat band called, I think, The Twilight Three, that was even more this than this is this. One of my favorite records.

Ahhhhh! This brings back so many pleasant memories! I first heard The Three Suns when I was a baby; their music was always my favorite! I wish I could hear them play "Twilight Time", "Stardust", "Dardanella" and "Delicado" again! If anyone out there knows where I can lay my hands on ANYTHING The Three Suns recorded in the 1940's or early 1950's, please, please, please leave me a message on my blogspot (emeraldadventurer.blogspot.com)! Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

For us longtime Three Suns fans, this is a wonderful find! Many of us have never had the opportunity to see them live, so this short film is about the closest we'll get. These guys were fantastic musicians. They knew thousands of songs, played from memory, were virtuosi on their respective instruments, and can probably be credited with inventing the genre now known as "lounge music"! Bravo Al Nevins (guitar), Morty Nevins (accordion) and Artie Dunn(organ)! This was the best movie I've seen in months!

Nice happy sound - Three Suns are certainly well known however this must have been filmed against a pre-recorded audio track. The organinst does not have his hands where they need to be at the time they need to be. Anyway, great to visit back in time when music had lyrics that meant something!

I'm sure I've seen this soundie before, several years ago at the Blinding light. Anyways, a great guitar/organ/accordian combo. The organist also has a smashing voice. They sing a great song here, 'Beyond The Blue Horizon". All of this is great, but what makes this into a MUST SEE on the site is the truly orgasmic performance the accordianist does here. Watch the hips move, the eyes close, the hands grip! Oh! I'm getting hot flashes now!

Classic happy swing music. You just can't beat that smiling accordion face and his boppity swing. Too bad he couldn't get the pelvis thing going before Elvis did, otherwise the accordion might be thought of as something other than campy.

Hey, weÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂre swinginÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂ now! This soundie features not only an organist, but an accordionist as well, with an electric guitar for backup. Is that a young Lawrence Welk on the squeezebox? I hear that very white people like this sort of thing.
