The Advocacy Campaign of the Arts and Culture family of NGOs presents: Space for Art film screening, followed by public debate The film of Sofia-based Italian director Nicola Zambelli shows the perspective of representatives of the civic sector to the topic of infrastructural support and independent spaces for art and culture. Responding to the question if independent culture spaces are needed in Sofia, the film meets the viewer with artists and cultural operators, working outside the system of municipal and state-owned cultural institutions, presents their opinions about contemporary cultural practices in Sofia, possible visions for establishing new spaces and sketches scenarios for future development in the field. The film is made in the framework of advocacy campaign âSpace for Artâ of Family of NGOs, working in the area of arts and culture (http://familia.cult.bg). Representatives of the Ministry of Culture, the Municipality of Sofia, artists and cultural operators are invited to take part in the public discussion after the screening.
