An illustrated parts catalog for the Automatic Quadding Attachment, Models C and D, made by the Linotype Parts Company (later Star Parts, Inc.) A quadder is an attachment for a linecasting machine such as a Linotype which performs functions which would have been accomplished using quads in hand-set type. This parts catalog, dated from an attached slip to July 20, 1950, is illustrated with glossy photographic prints bound into the manual on hinges ("bound" is too grand a term; it's 3-hole folder with a label pasted on the front).
