Memphis Jug Band, Stealing, Stealing
I have been seeking to see who actually wrote this song, and it it hard to crack. Some say Gus Cannon, This band did a great rendition of the song, I've never heard anyone do it until I heard this band. However, I would like to know who own the rights to this song and who are the publishers?
It's amazing that these guys are gone, however someone is making money off this song.

Stealin' Stealin' indeed!
I first knew this tune on the last Yardbirds album (Little Games, 1967), but credited to the group, including guitarist Jimmy Page - in time he would get well-known for such things almost as much as for his guitar skills!

Cool
Very cool and awe-inspiring to hear these 1920's old 78rpm recordings. Brings you back to the time and just makes you wonder what life was like back then. A simpler time, simpler society.
This song is great. and a jug! shit when is the last time you heard a band use a jug as one of their instruments? awesome.

This is Great!!
I've heard this song for years by the likes of Pete Seeger and Arlo Guthrie. It's interesting and exciting to hear these older versions and see how they change over the years.
