01. Victory Fanfare - An instrumental piece for brass, strings, percussion, and organ.
02. The Philosopher - The book of Ecclesiastes summarized and put into music.
03. Every Time You Smile - A song about the joys of fatherhood and a father's dreams, aspirations, and advice for his son.
04. A Wonderful Sight - Waking every morning with whom God had joined you with is indeed the most wonderful sight in the world.
05. Family Portrait - A happy smooth jazz instrumental.
06. Answers:
I. Overture - As the title implies, this one's just an orchestral overture.
II. A Grand Design - This is a general story about how man discovers God as he is revealed by nature and his question about his own nature to deny an inherent truth that is evidently presented before his face.
III. Meaning - A song about a happy-go-lucky party animal who discovers emptiness in his hedonistic lifestyle. With that, he questions the meaning of his own life and discovers an answer.
IV. Faith - A small Christian community living in the dark ages, when the predominant power of that day stems from a very huge religious institution named ___________ (Fill in the blank based on what region of the world you think the setting of this story is. I guess you all know what I'm talking about. I don't mean to offend anyone but I'm sorry it's factual). Blamed and accused of heresy, they stand tall and firm on life's answer even though faced with torture and death.
V. Comfort To My Soul - In connection to the story of "A Grand Design" where the man has questions which he wishes to seek answers to, in this one he finds the answer.
VI. The Truth Does Stand - The creationist-evolutionist debate falls right in place in this highly experimental piece. More questions are presented here where the protagonist finds that the world is full of foolishness and folly as men deny the existence of a supreme being. Though denial of God is the commonly accepted "truth," he stands firm to his belief as wisdom and science prove otherwise.
VII. You are True - A piece for SATB choir, orchestra and band filled with 20th century harmonies that breaks conventional rules of tonality. As the track implies, it is the final one, a testament of the true answer to life's questions. This piece is very overt in it's proclamation of praise to the Supreme Being. You could picture this as the same community in track III having successfully weathered the trials they have encountered even though most of them have been annihilated by the powers of their day.
