Absolutely brilliant!
A witty, playful satire on celebrity. Superbly written and acted. Art Carney was terrific. Who could have guessed that the man who played Ed Norton on the Honeymooners could be so sophisticated and urbane (and believable as a playwright)? That there is nothing like this on television today is a sad commentary on how low TV and our culture in general have sunk. Studio One presented entertainment for intelligent, sophisticated grown-ups. The puerile trash that masquerades for entertainment today can't hold a candle to what was done so well 60 years ago.
