Subject: Young stars, indeed
Among them: John Astin, Ed Asner, Warren Beatty, Warren Oates, James Coburn (credited as "Jim" Coburn), and hosted by Edward R. Murrow.
Interesting aside - the Betty Furness commercial, in which she shows a washer/dryer combination. Who knew such things were possible 50 years ago.

Subject: Public domain?
This program carries an onscreen (computer generated) card at the end that reads (c) 1997 CBS, All Rights Reserved, yet is appearing here with a notation that it is in the public domain. Perhaps the source for this show was a copyrighted video collection or something similar, and the actual program is in the public domain. Can someone clarify the copyright status of this program?
As for the program itself, an absolutely riveting, and somewhat creepy presentation. A virtual cornucopia of soon-to-be-stars!
