"Take No Prisoners" was a popular late night public radio show that aired in the greater Flint,MI area on weekends from February,1981 - June, 1997. It
featured local bands and other music the other Flint radio stations wouldn't touch.
"Rivethead" author, Ben Hamper was the show's creator and host from 1981-1990. Jim McDonald co-hosted from 1981-1989. Jerry Humphrey hosted the show from
1989-1997, including an assortment of co-hosts, including Brett_Herron, Shawn Wharton, Doug Earp, Al Steele and many more.
The show was the bedrock of the Flint underground music scene during its entire run and even spawned the "Take No Prisoners" TV series that ran from
1989-1998.
