School of Red Herrings
This is a well-told tale of multiple murders.
It is always fun to watch Berton Churchill. Here he gets a much meatier role that he often got. Some will remember him as the embezzling banker Gatewood in the western classic Stagecoach.
Enjoy all the false leads and red herrings in this film.

Clues, clues, clues!
A C-minus drama and a B-plus who-done-it with more legitimate suspects than you can count. Fast paced with a ton of clues. If you're adding them up, pay close attention to everything, though you'll probably come to my conclusion that everybody did it. Well, I was wrong. This isn't "Murder on the Orient Express." An okay cast features the lovely Irene Ware and future venomous gossip columnist Hedda Hopper. E. E. Clive of "Bulldog Drummond" fame appears as the butler. With more than one murder to solve, who-done-it hounds will have fun sinking their teeth into this second-feature quickie. This is a glitchy print with soundtrack cutouts. Fortunately enough of the dialog is intact to make sense of the proceedings. Otherwise the print quality is good. CAST NOTES: At age sixteen, Irene Ware was Miss United Stares for 1926. Hedda Hopper tried to suppress the release of "Citizen Kane" to protect her personal friend William Randolph Hearst. She also was a close friend of J. Edgar Hoover. Her associations and resulting access to dirt made her one of the most powerful and feared columnists of the '40s and '50s. P.S. Thanks for the smaller download!
