In honor of this weekend's Golden Gate Gramble II, here is a recording of the first GGG! Apologies for upload issues, archive.org changed their uploading guidelines coincidentally yesterday and I had no idea.
One of those crazy sweaty shows packed with all kindsa music from "some of the best f#$%ing musicians in this city", as you hear stated on the disc by the Emcee. Those who were there know what an insane night this was. Now everyone can hear what went down!

NOTES ON: THE GOLDEN GATE GRAMBLE
Because of the revolving musical lineup, tried to figure out who was on which songs, some from memory and some from years as a sound aficianado. COULD BE WRONG but think its right.
01. Gramble Brother
Notes:
Every musician from the event appeared onstage during this song.
02. Shakedown Street
Notes:
Everyone stayed up for this too. Song was teased earlier in night over PA by DJ Superchill. Jackie Greene sings, plays keys and some guitar. Tim Bluhm and Greg Loicano and Nikki sing backups. Deren Ney on "wah" guitar.
03. Sugaree
Notes:
Grateful Dead tune. Jackie sings and performs lead. Bluhm and Ney both solo (Bluhm's was the bluesier one.)

Notes:
Mother Hips song. Performed by Tim Bluhm and Greg Loiacono of Mother Hips, Fred Torphy, Steve Adams, and Bradly Bifulco of Big Light. SICK.
05. Cocaine
Notes:
Lebowitz on guitar and vocals, Adams on bass, Bifulco on drums. I believe Fred Torphy is playing second guitar, but not sure.
06. I'm Only Sleeping

Greg Loiacono on vocals/guitar. Tim Bluhm and Jackie Greene on background vocals, Lebowitz on "that backwards solo", Gramblers drummer on drums.
