Debut of Clara and WhatwasHis name
They would become the costar couple in the next year or two, as the Nelsons converted their kitchen cabinets to knotty pine.
That "Happy Hotpoint" of course was none other than Mary Tyler Moore - I believe this was her first break into television.
I'm pretty sure this wasn't the first time I saw this episode. It was always watched in our house - but I was only 3 and a half when this aired.
The magazine rack in the back of the malt shop sports those two magazines "MALE" and "MEN" wtf?? In an episode titled "Gay Blade"? In 1955!!??

Solid episode with interesting trivia
This solid episode from the early middle years (late in Don DeFore's stint on the show) is notable for a particular twist: Lyle Talbot and Mary Jane Croft, who would become a fixture in later seasons as husband and wife Joe and Clara Randolph, appear here as a married couple for the first time, but NOT as Joe and Clara Randolph! Instead, they appear as different characters who, as far as I know, did not reappear after this episode.
A fun episode of typical Ozzie and Harriet quality, with a fantastically funny piece of physical comedy by Ozzie during the movie theatre scene that is alone worth the viewing.
Huge thanks to kjs (whoever you are) for continuing to release episodes found nowhere else. Please keep us fans of the show happy and grateful and release more!
