This project began as an arts and crafts project with my son. We made pumpkin faces out of construction paper and digitized each one for posterity by photographing them with a Canon EOS D60 and painstakingly tracing and calibrating each one using Adobe Illustrator and the Pantone Color Matching System. Once that process was complete, we realized that we could reassemble each one by creating puzzle paks, and that the puzzles became exponentially more challenging with each pak you add to the mix.
