Bad Copy of this movie
None of these downloads is the complete movie. The length of the movie is supposed to be 85 minutes. The downloads consist of approximately 60 minutes. This means that the last 25 minutes of the movie are missing!

"The Big Sombrero" Is 20 Minutes Short
The movie is listed as 60 minutes on Internet Archive and ends at exactly 60 minutes. However, it ends before the conclusion of the movie. The movie is listed as running 80 minutes on other movie listings such as IMBd. The last review before mine notes that it runs short while other reviews listed the movie as apparently complete.
This is a good Gene Autry movie. Elena Verdugo, besides "Marcus Welby, MD," was in the radio and television version of "Meet Millie," playing Millie. Audry Totter initially played Millie on radio and then Elena Verdugo took over the role in both mediums.
I am not giving this a rating as the movie is incomplete.

no end in sight
how do you give five stars when it ends without an ending. I have the same size (larger) file as they say it is supposed to be and there is no ending. There is no ending in the thumbnails either.

Highly entertaining!
Wonderful film. A Great diversion. Lovely Elena Verdugo who later starred as Consuelo on Marcus Welby, MD. also co-stars in this little gem. No wonder Gene was so popular, a very nice person and genuinely talented. Thanks for sharing.

The Big Splash
One of two Gene Autry produced westerns in Cinecolor and he pulls out all the stops in this production. Lavish color, a pretty good story, great cast, Elena Verdugo in particular. If you haven't seen it before it is a must see western. Autry was at the top of his game here. I have owned this film on tape and DVD for years. Highly recommended. Enjoy.
