I'm calling this the "extended version" because whether it's "uncut" or not is anybody's guess. The "neck rip" scene is intact. However, please note the picture quality is a bit washed out in some places but still watchable in my opinion.

so weird I bought it.
theres a reason this movie is a cult clasic, it's so out there you just have to have it. I watched on here a few times then I found out its on bluray, uncut, bought it and it looks fantastic, I guess I should get around to uploading it

Remember the first time you saw this?
It was on a Saturday afternoon on the local "monster chiller horror theater." I remember it being a very different monster film from the usual fare, and I was very young, so it seemed like a bad dream. Until I saw it again years later.
That said, I think the people who canonized "Little Shop of Horrors" missed the obvious: this film was made to be a musical. I mean, it's even got strippers and a night club (the Moulin Rouge). It even tackles bio-ethics in a way films today can't touch. Wish I could give it more than five stars.

and you may say to yourself...my God, what have I done?
So said Talking Heads and it's a shame that the mad doctor in this film didn't have the same sort of self awareness. It's the everyday tale of a woman falling in love with a man and love blinding her to his obvious faults, like he's a sleazy arrogant psychotic scumbag. He also looks uncannily like Ted Bundy which is a bit of a red flag for any girl in my opinion. Anyway, after kiling his fiance in a car crash following some seriously bad driving, instead of being upset about it the good doctor rushes off to his lab to keep her head alive as part of his ongoing experiment. Well you would wouldn't you? Anyway, when said head wakes up she is not at all amused and without giving away the whole plot you just know it's going to end in tears. The thing in the cellar looks a bit like Al Murray the Pub Landlord, only funnier, which isn't difficult. Not a bad film as this sort of film goes but not great either. Next!

UNCUT version of a SEVERED HEAD movie -- har, har!
I love puns.
Anyway, IMDB lists the running time for this cinematic gem as 82 minutes (uncut version), amended with this phrase: "USA:70 min (TCM print)"
A Wikipedia entry claims the uncut version has more catfight footage, and more "shocking" gore.
Either way, this thing is a hoot. Especially for me: I'm an organ-transplant recipient, so the "science" always makes me laugh.
