Excellent silent swan song for Fairbanks
While the plot feels a bit too condensed at times, this is a rousing adventure, handsomely produced. From the start, the film takes on a sense of melancholy, both for the aging musketeers and for Fairbanks himself, who knew with the end of the silent era, he himself might be on the way out of the limelight as well.

Best version of IRON MASK
Fairbanks, though not displaying much of his athleticism, still shines & shows how he can act. BTW, Sr. did do a few talkies, especially Korda's DON JUAN....
Most memorable is the last scene where all 4 musketeers join together up in the heavens. Make me look forward to leaving my own body!!

Ho-LA!
I love all the Douglas Fairbanks, Sr. silent features, but this one is especially good. Humor, lightheartedness-- and riveting suspense! Exceptionally well done, and good acting.
Good makeup job on the older version of Fairbanks, Sr. He really did look older.
I downloaded the mpg_512 format, and the quality is very good. The picture is clear, unlike many of the silents I have downloaded.

Not Jr.
I too love this movie, but It Sr. not Jr. in this and the rest of his silent movies. Douglas Fairbanks was athletic, as well as fine actor. He would have been wonderful in sound.
