Religious and spiritual poem about Hymn 204 in the 1982 Episcopal Church hymnal, reflecting on the hymn and the resurrection of Christ. An Easter poem by "Parish Poet" Peter Menkin, this work by the Oblate was workshoped on The Atlantic Monthly Writers Workshop when it existed. It is a revision, of course, from the original and this is the final version read aloud for Archive.org and Peter Menkin blog on the internet by the aspiring poet himself. The recording, made in Lent, 2008, speaks these words from the work:
"We sang Hymn 204, "Love is come again like wheat that springeth green." Sweetness and joy meet. We share our lives, their fabric...
The poem also speaks of the sharing of bread and wine (Communion).
