Very cute and charming
I quite enjoyed this. Nothing like live, local TV...the flubs just add to the fun.
I'm quite amazed this even exists, considering how little local TV survives from that year.

Mary Hartline! Mary Hartline!
I am convinced that Mary Hartline was a major reason my old man broke down and bought his first TV set in 1950 (well, Dagmar might have been another reason).

I Love Mary Hartline !
Okay, I'll admit it: Growing up I watched Mary Hartline on "Super Circus" and fell in love ! Beautiful Blonde, Baton Majorette Short Skirts, Cute Boots...WOWZER ! It set my 10 year old heart thumping every week.
Now, seeing this self-titled daily show of her's reinforces my feelings all over again...as an older, not 10 year old, male of the species.
What many don't know is that Mary suffered from Polio as a young girl, and eventually recovered. BUT, watching her sit down for most of this program, I wondered if there were still some residual effects from her illness at the time these shows were produced.
Whatever, she is just plain BEAUTIFUL ! AND, the show moves along, would have been really good for kids on that era (IF they had a TV Set !), and is pleasant to watch 61 years later.
Thanks for putting this on the Site !
